Does it matter which secondary weapon I equip auric runesmiter with during assembly? Not sure if there is a purpose beyond what looks better

I'm more wondering does it matter which weapons I have choice of equipping Runeson, Runesmite and so on with as I do not have the Fyreslayer Battletome yet
