Ironweld Arsenals

The Ironweld Arsenals are the artillery sections of the militaries of the Cities of Sigmar, combining human and duardin innovation, creativity and technological accumen to produce potent artillery and other war machines that can aid the Freeguild militias of their home cities.

Acting in concert with the Freeguilds come the gunners, artillerists and engineers of the Ironweld Arsenals. The greatest duardin and human scientific minds have combined forces to create the most potent weapons of destruction they can devise, for the people of Sigmar's new world order in the Mortal Realms face a profusion of monsters, daemons and mutated Chaos-worshipping barbarians that cannot be defeated by sword and spear alone. This is a brotherhood united not by faith, but by ingenuity, capability, and science -- the industrialisation and innovation of mankind twinned with the artifice and expertise of the duardin makes for a potent combination.

The Ironweld Arsenal's artillerists man the walls of the largest of the Free Cities, their great cannons, mortars, volley guns and rocket batteries seeking out the largest of foes whenever dark hordes muster beyond the city limits. Each of their machineries of destruction is made to be man-portable, or at the least towable by beasts of burden. The famed artillery trains of the Ironweld Arsenals regularly take the field in support of the Freeguilds to blast apart daemon and monstrous predators alike.
